Realizations

I've come to a few realizatons lately. The first was that I used to have a little thing called privacy and it's been about 17 months since I've had some . I've also realized that Charlie pays way to much attention to me. This realization happened on Saturday when I went to pee and Charlie came toddling into the bathroom after me. He said his ever so cute usual "Hi" and then what really surprised me was he pulled some toilet paper off the roll to give me. I was like "wow, good boy thanks for helping mommy." But the best part is he tried to push it between my legs (while laughing)! I was stunned. He's been playing me all along. Which tells me somebody might be meeting the potty real soon.
I've also been consumed with getting myself back to school, yup that's right, I'm going back. I'm all registered and ready to get started with my Master's degree. I'm taking 2 classes at night so daddy get's to do the night thing twice a week. All I can say is I hope that Dinner and a Bath happens before this does...................
And as for Charlie, he has become quite the motor-mouth lately. For what seems like forever Charlie has only said Dada, Hi, and ugh. Well times they are a changing because in the past 2 weeks Charlie has aquired a 40 -50 word vocabulary. I thought I would make a list of everything he was saying to share with everyone but then I lost track once I got to word 38 so I'm guessing he's close to 50 words. I think he just woke up one day and decided to talk. It's amazing, he does animal sounds, points to things in his book and names them, and hangs on the refridgerator door yelling CHEESE (his new favorite food)!!
Princeton here we come!!!

If Princeton doesn't work out there's always the Marines like dad. Here's Charlie's military recruitment poster.... I WANT YOU!!

busy busy weekend!!

On Saturday the fam went to the Metro NY Hot Air Balloon festival. Wow, what a trip! There was so much going on there. I had no idea the event was going to be so huge.I also didn't think that all of Long Island was going to be there until we ended up in traffic trying to get there, and then more traffic to get a parking space, and then riding a school bus to the festival because the parking was so far. It wasn't until standing in line for a very long time just to get tickets to get in, I realized that there was a gazillion people there that all had the same idea we did! The first thing we did was haul ass over to the Monster Truck show.

So Cool!!!

Add this face and some tears and you get the idea about how Charlie felt about the Monster trucks. He loved them until they turned their engines on and started jumping cars, it was just too loud for little buddy.

Wheelie Competition!

We also saw some MotoX tricks,

and then some BMXers,

and skateboarding.

Got to Represent!

Taking a break from the crowds.
Looking for more excitement.

We decided to get a closer look at the Monster Trucks, with the engines off, Charlie wasn't scared at all.

He really wanted to get closer to them but we weren't allowed.

Kid Rock ?!!?!
Now on to the balloons.......

There were so many balloons to see.

I thought you could only do that in cartoons!

This was a cute one!

As it got darker and the air got cooler more and more lined the sky.

HAMPTONITES!!
On Sunday we went to the Hamptons, la dee da......
Grandma joined us! We dug Charlie a biggest hole in all of the Hampton Bays. We decorated it like a castle in order to fit in with all the mansions. I'm pretty sure the other kids were jealous their parents wouldn't bother digging them such a colossal hole!

We were trekking a lot of water back and forth to the hole, until.....

we dug a little hole closer to the water because the big one was too dry.

Old Macdonald had a farm.......

This is Charlie's newest toy, he is very into barns and farm animals lately. He walks around the house saying ee i eee i (he doesnt' quite have the o part down yet) and chases me around with the Baby Macdonald DVD to watch it all day long.

Look at how he's sitting, too funny!

and that's a wrap!

trying new things

Today was a sad day for me, my little angel Charlie turned into.....umm well I won't say the devil because he will always be an angel in my eyes even though he does develish things. First off I'll say over the past week or 2 he learned how to have tantrums and drop to the floor and scream if he doesn't get his way (ex: eating all day long, playing in the refridgerator, going outside when he pleases). So getting back to my sad day, Charlie was sitting on the couch this afternoon and when I sat in front of him on the floor he tried to kick me, I acted like a stearn strict mommy and scolded him, which I thought should've been quite scary for a 1 year old to see his mommy so mad, well Charlie thought it was hilarious and when I say hilarious I mean he was cracking up as if he was being tickle tortured by five people. Needless to say, he continued to try to kick me and I ended up having to leave the room in a state of shock. If this is what my years to come are going to be like I'm screwed.
Anyway on a lighter note, Charlie has been very busy trying new things lately, basicly trying to make things more complicated for himself. I'm not sure why he does this, but it is what it is. Here are the pics............................................... Charlie now chooses to sit on a chair while he eats, he really hates his highchair and thinks he is a big boy now.

This is how he drinks from a sippy cup like a big boy.

There's my big boy!

Here he is trying to do 2 things at once, ride the rocket and push the popper.....

It wasn't easy but he was determined.

Aaah to hell with the rocket!

Here he is trying to push the truck across the kitchen table to see how hard it crashes to the floor.

How many toys can we get on the table?

Now let's crash them to the floor again!

Oh, look who ended up on the kitchen counter, sneaky little guy!

You see riding the rocket sitting properly on the seat is just too easy, it's much more challenging to put 1 leg in the seat and scoot.

Even better, how about standing in it!!!

Sometimes after a long day of playing in the pool, climbing up to the slide about 20 times and digging with a dump truck you just need to relax.

Priceless!!
