My Mistake
Today I took the boys to the Halloween store. Charlie has been getting pretty excited about the holiday since recieving his first Halloween Costume catalog back in August. So we decided to take a visit to the one by the mall. What a mistake that was!! Every Halloween store I have ever visited has been a big room with bags of costumes plastered all over the walls. Well, of course the store I chose to go to was set up as if it were a Haunted House. There were ghouls and goblins, webs and tombstones, mummies and zombies, things moving and banging, not to mention the lovely music and smoke machines to set the ambience. Poor Charlie wanted to find a Batman costume so bad, he didn't want to leave. But I promised him we would look for a Batman costume and I didn't want to deal with a temper tantrum amongst all the creepy dead things in there, so we stayed. Of course, they strategically put all the kid and baby costumes on the opposite side of the entrance tucked in a corner. Yes, they had his costume there, but we looked and left. I probably should have never brought him in to begin with, and I am sure Will and I will be paying for it tonight (and probably the next few nights) when he won't go to sleep or wakes up scared. So I had a "bad mom" day, should've followed my gut. So to all my Mommy friends of little ones, do yourself a favor, order online! If the kids want to see Halloween stuff, maybe visit the Halloween aisle at the grocery store or Target.
By the way, Luke will be Charlie's little sidekick...Robin. (Although I am still trying to convince Charlie to be a Firefighter so Luke can be a Dalmation puppy, purely for my pleasure, because I think Luke would be the cutest puppy ever) Batman and Robin very cute!

First Day of Pre-School
Today was the big day Charlie has been anticipating for weeks, me not so much. 9:30 couldn't come quick enough for Charlie. Being the emotional mom I am, I felt myself holding back tears, correction...fighting back tears all morning. As we left the front door, I was holding back tears, as we walked to school, I was holding back tears, arriving at school, I was fighting the tears, and as soon as we got to the classroom door... I lost it. It was a good thing Will was there, he looked at me, snickered, and took Charlie in to meet his teacher while I had my moment in the hall. I'm such a loser. It was only orientation today so it was just an hour long. The kids stayed in class while the parents had a meeting in another room. Anyway, Charlie had a great time, and acts likes he has been doing this for years.
We started the morning with a nice big pancake.
Luke doesn't like pancakes....YET!!! He had some fruit and O's.

Take it easy!
I decided to title this post "Take it easy" because it seems to be my signature phrase with the boys.
and more madness...
and too my friends who have only have precious girls who like to color and play dress up....this is what my days are looking like lately.
Still want twin boys Layla?
Just Kidding, I love having boys they are so much fun!!
Going on Adventures
On Sunday we did a couple of Geocaches, Charlie thought they were treasure hunts, we had a lot of fun!
Luke did all of his treasure hunting from the pack.
Synchronizing GPS coordinates to find the treasure.
Making our way through the woods.
Oh! It looks like Charlie found something!
It's the treasure!
There were all sorts of interesting things in there along with a log book that has a first log in it from 2003 (i think).
We decided to take Buzz Lightyear and bring him to the next treasure spot.
Luke wasn't happy if we weren't hunting and moving along .... argh!
