Driving Lessons

Charlie loves to pull the car out of the driveway so he has more room to play with his riding toys. Here is also a look at our new car, we've had it since June, it's nice to have the new car smell again. I'm still bummed we couldn't find a Hybrid Escape anywhere on Long Island, but I still love it! Although the Mercury Mariner we had before was supposed to be the "fancier" car, the Escape has so much more features. The running boards are the best, since Charlie is now able to get in and out of his carseat, which is especially good for my back.

More Dancing Video

I know I'm probably going overboard with the videos of Charlie dancing, but Will's friend emailed a couple more that he took from his phone, they are a little blurry but are of him dancing with the breaker I mentioned earlier (see earlier post). He is too funny!!

Marc and Danielle's.....part 2

With all the excitement of dancing, I forgot about Marc and Danielle's puppy "Bella"
Charlie loved her so much, I wish we could get a dog for him :(

Marc and Danielle's Engagement Party

Charlie (aka The Dancing Machine), had a blast saturday night, he literally danced from about 6pm to 10pm when we finally had to cut him off. I had no idea he was going to be such the entertainer. When he first started showing off his skills, he was immitating one of the Break dancers and everyone loved it, of course I didn't have my camera at that point but I thought if he were going to continue, it was well worth the drive home to get it..... so I did! The breakers were gone by the time I got back but he was still on the move with anyone else he could find to dance with.
I took some videos, some are kind of dark but they are all very cute and hilarious!
This video is of Charlie dancing with some chick I've never seen before but he didn't care, he was happy to have a dance partner.

This video is of Charlie getting in the line up of girls

This last one is kind of dark, and hard to see at times, but the very beginning shows off some of his signature moves.... "the wiggle" and "slap the ground"

Holtsville Ecology Center

After feeling like I've neglected my son being so busy with school work, I decided to take Charlie to the ecology center. It's a cute little farm/zoo that has mostly rescued animals. The best part about it is, it's FREE!!! It's kind of small but if you get there right when it opens, you can beat the crowd and all the camp field trips, plus all the animals are still out and about. Charlie was more of an observer, he didn't care to pet or feed the animals. This guy was really trying to get Charlie's attention. Cute little piggy This is about as close as Charlie gets to a Llama. Watching for the Bobcat. There he is! Spying on the Bears Creeping up on the Pony and Donkeys Practicing his fence scaling skills.

Our Sunday

On Sunday, we woke up early and realized how important it was for us to take advantage of a such a beautiful day... so we went to the Hamptons. Will dug Charlie a serious hole, suitable for any type of vehicle and child, especially a dump truck and a 2 year old. We weren't sure if we needed a permit for this construction site because it was getting pretty serious. Once again, it provided hours of entertainment. There's Will debating on diving into the very cold (its no Lanikai) Atlantic waters. This is a very attractive picture of me, I wasn't going to put it up but I think it's pretty funny because that's pretty much what I do all day everyday with a 2 year old. This is also the way I look when Charlie wants me to draw pictures with sidewalk chalk.....yeah it's real nice! This picture pretty much tells me that I shouldn't be wearing bikinis anymore, at 30 weeks pregnant but carrying "a big baby," as the Dr's say, this makes me wish I'd invested in a Maternity suit.....oh well, I'll probably still rock the bikini anyway. There's William looking handsome. This his the sight of my belly while sitting in the beach chair, I think it's funny that I couldn't get my whole belly in the pic...ha ha ha!
Charlie decided that his hole needed water. This went on for a while. Back and forth he went, everytime he came back with more water the hole was dry again, poor thing. He didn't care if it was dry, he kept on smiling, he loves the beach!!
On another note, I had my 30 week check up and sonogram on friday. It was so cute to see the little no named guy's face. He looks a lot like Charlie which means he will be adorable! Everything is great, like I mentioned before he is big. The Sono Tech said in a nice way "well you're 30 weeks but the baby is ....uh....measuring bigger than 30 weeks." I think she didn't want to freak me out but she was kind of trying to get info from me about Charlie. So when I told her that I had him at 37 weeks and he was 7lbs 4 oz she was like "oh so you have big babies." Only this one is seemingly a bit bigger and she said that he is probably about 4 1/2 lbs already and he has a big head. So we've got a countdown of 10 weeks to go and some name decisions to make. If anyone has any name suggestions that aren't super trendy (like Aidan, Jayden, or Hayden) please send them my way. We have a few names that we like, but we still can't decide. Until next time......

Our Saturday

We had a great weekend! On Saturday, it started out with some rain so we decided to bake some cookies........ Charlie is going through the "I help/I do it myself" phase so every day is very interesting. He likes doing the mixing of the dry ingredients but..... he loves to eat the chocolate chips! After a lot of chocolate chips, he gets a little kooky.....he's a very sneaky baker. We were so happy when the sun came out after Charlie's nap so we could go outside and do his favorite thing. We call this "babysitter in a box." It's awesome, we should patent it. We give Charlie a big box of Will's old matchbox cars, a sippy cup of juice, place him in the dirt under the clubhouse of his playground where there is plenty of shade, then I can sit in my beach chair and read. It's the greatest thing ever!!
