Charlie's Birthday Party

On Thursday we had Charlie's birthday party. We decided to do it all in one shot on the same day. On Thursday some of his friends came over and we had a little party that turned into big chaos. It was fun though, the kids had a blast. I made all the kids batman masks and capes, I baked cupcakes and made them Green Lantern soda floats. We ordered pizza and played outside, they did a pinata and had goodie bags too, it was a great day. I was so busy with the party I forgot to take pictures until it was time to sing Happy Birthday so the only pictures I have are of that and the mess afterwards.
The After-Party Disaster!
Later that night, Grandma, Uncle Bob, Aunt Kate, Omma & Oppa, and Nathan from across the street came over to celebrate again.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday Charlie!

Charlie's Birthday at School

On Wednesday, Will and I went to school with Charlie to help celebrate his birthday. it was a lot of fun, and it was great that Dad got to see all the action at school. Charlie and Dominick started the day off playing Mr. Potato head. Then they had Music, Charlie is not a fan of Music. Charlie and Dominick are inseparable.
Because it was Charlie's birthday he was the "leader" for the day, so he got to hold the stop sign for the safety song.
I made some brownies for the class, Charlie's favorite, and they all sang to Charlie.
After that they did a jelly bean tasting, it was really hard to keep the kids from eating, spilling, and shaking the jelly beans. They were instructed to wait to eat them and only eat one color at a time which Mrs. Santos called out. Will was very busy replenishing jelly beans that were spilled or eaten.
Charlie got to dress the Weather Bear.
He also got to lead circle time.
He was pretty proud. It was a great day, he kept saying all morning "today is a special day" and it was. Today will be even better! We will do more celebrating!

Fire House Field Trip

On Monday Charlie had a field trip to Smithtown Fire Department. A lot of the kids were nervous at first and weren't too attentive listening to the fire safety speech but they were all ears when it was time to get on the trucks. Charlie wanted absolutely nothing to do with the firefighter all suited up.
Charlie and Ryan are goof balls
I think this picture is so funny, look at how tall Charlie is! Aside from the one girl who is freakishly tall for a 4 year old and the other girls who wear little boots with heels, Charlie is above heads. Another Mom in the class jokingly said Charlie looks like the kid that got held back a couple of years. Well we know where he gets it from, not me!
Pretend ride in the ambulance.
Looking at the heat sensor device used to find people in the houses and buildings, the kids were very amused by this. The trip was fun, now we know what is behind the closed doors that we pass by on our walks to the park.

Cookies

We had some beautiful weather last week, we were at the park everyday. Of course I forgot my camera everytime we went, but Spring is just around the corner and before we know it I will have a ton of pictures of the boys in green grass and at the beach! But of course after all that lovely weather, we got a taste of some yucky rainy weather and we are stuck back inside. Charlie and I made some chocolate chip cookies the other day while Lukas napped. Lucky for Luke, he woke up to warm delicious treats. As you can see from the pictures, the boys were pretty happy with their treat! Nice hair Luke.
Unfortunately Woody and Buzz also got some cookie, they will be taking another trip to the washing machine.
I tried a new recipe for the cookies and all 3 boys loved them, here is what they look like...mmm. And I know we are all sick of seeing snow, but I forgot to put up the few pictures I took at Grandma's house of sleigh riding before my camera battery died.
Look at this cute little eskimo.
There goes Charlie and Grandma.
