We like to play....then work

When you live on the east coast, you learn to take advantage of any type of decent weather that you get because you never know when it's going to be rainy and cold or frigid and too cold to go out. So today was a beautiful sunny day, it was just a little cold. We decided to take a walk around the lake at Blydenburgh park, near where we live. We had to get bundled up because it was 33 degrees when we were getting ready to go. So, me being the crazy mom who can't let their child feel an ounce of cold, layered Charlie like he was facing a blizzard. He had on 2 pairs of socks, pajama bottoms under his lined pants, a long sleeve t-shirt, a sweatshirt and his big puffy jacket. I was thinking 33 degrees is 1 degree away from freezing! So we started on our journey, and yes Charlie was able to move. We had to walk down a long path.

Then we got to the lake.

We heard a waterfall so we had to find it!

This was a scary moment for me, I was yelling for them to come back as if they were standing at the edge of the Empire State building. Evidently, it looks scarier from my perspective compared to being down there.

We had to take a breather from all the excitement and take a time out to throw rocks, notice Charlie is wearing his "cool car" shoes, his favorites that he wants to wear all the time.

They were looking at someone riding a horse across the lake

As we were leaving the park Charlie wanted to stop for a ride on the swings

Then it was time for some chores................

We needed to clean all the leaves in the backyard and push them back into the woods.

Umm.....that doesn't really look like working!
That's right, brush it off and get back to work!

Wow there is actually a ground under there!

Time to mowe the lawn one last time before winter.

It looks good dad, how's my half lookin'?

Nana Came to Visit

Nana and Papa were visiting from Hawaii, Charlie had a lot of fun with them. Charlie got so used to them staying with us that the day after they left he woke up saying "Nana Papa a go?" (his way of saying Where did they go?) It was fun, we miss them already! This is how a granny tries to lift a 30 lb baby

A Fun Fall Day!

It was a great day on Tuesday,Charlie and I went to our usual Little Gym class and later went to the petting zoo with some of our friends from our class. We had so much fun!
Here is Charlie dancing during the warm up....
Not quite sure what to do with the scarfs.....
He obviously doesn't need me for the warm up....

His new favorite thing to do...

Woo Hoo!

a new friend

Pee-a-boo! Whats going on over there? I'm going to check it out.....

What's up man?

High-five dude!

Balance beam.... Ta-da! Charlie may be the youngest in the class, but you can't tell by looking at the monster, most of the kids are at least 2.

Bubbles on the belly!

Off to The Petting Zoo!
This way mom.....

feeding the goats... they like to drink from baby bottles, Charlie wanted nothing to do with the feeding process, the girls loved it, must be a guy thing!

Baby squeeling pigs! Charlie thought it would be nice to drive the ladies around in his sweet RV.

Acting like a duck....

making a run for it..... he spotted something in the distance.... could it be? PONY RIDES!! yipeee!! Thanks for a great day mom!
