A night out

Will and I went out with some of my "mom friends" last Saturday night to Rockwell's for a few drinks. We had a great time! Will got along with my friends husband's...we're all on the same page being parents. It is a little different than hanging out with Will's friend's, who don't have kids. It was nice to be out with adults who know what its like to have to be up early the next morning to tend to kids! These are my friends, Kristie (left, aka Parker's mom) and Michelle (right, aka Brodie's mom)

Mother's Day and other happenings

We've been busy, busy, busy. I finished my thesis...and got an "A" on it, I might add. I finished the last of my teacher certification tests (all 4 of them, and passed them all). Which means I can spend more time with the boys and enjoy summer, yey! Here are some pictures of some of the lastest things we've been doing.
This is what we call "movie night," we take off alll of the cushions on the couch, put a big sheet down, get some pillows, and make a big bed to cuddle in to watch a kid movie. We watched Alvin and the Chipmunks 2, the Squeekquel, which by the way was very funny. Charlie and Luke love this, they think it is the best thing ever! We may just have to do it this weekend again.
On one of our really warm days, we set up the pool for the first time of the season.
Luke had a new Buzz Lightyear swimsuit and rash guard that he was so proud of. Obviously, Charlie has grown a lot since last summer because the poor kids bathing suit was practically painted on him. I have bought him 2 new suits since then, so the poor kid won't be walking around with self-induced wedgies this summer. I seriously can't believe how big my kids are getting and that they are consistently at least a year ahead of their clothing sizes.
I had a great Mother's Day. We went to the pond in Stony Brook to feed the crazed feathered friends again. This time around, we met some new friends, some little baby ducklings that were so cute. They were so tiny, and adorable.
Lukas loved waving at them.
My Mother's Day photo, I love it!
By the way, it was so abnormally cold that day, which is why we are in winter gear.
We went for a walk on the other side of the pond in the woods, and the boys did some exploring.
Look who we found while exploring, this guy was hanging out in the shrubs munching on leaves. Will thinks he was once someone's pet.
He wasn't scared of us, he seemed like he enjoyedhaving his picture taken.
Later that day, we went to Grandma's and also had a dance party where Uncle Bobby showed us some of his moves.

Geese and Ducks

On Thursday, it was so beautiful, we decided to go to the pond in Stony Brook and feed some crazy feathered creatures. The boys loved it! A goose flew on Luke's head and kind of sanwiched him with his wings, which scared him for about 5 minutes and then he forgot about it. Charlie loved feeding them until a goose bit him (which is on the video below) and he was a little upset, but forgot about it quickly. We also went for a walk on the other side of the pond, where Charlie explored. It was so nice to be outside!

Stubborn Lukas won't sleep like a normal kid!

Here is some video of Lukas fighting his nap in his crib, he refused to lay down.
