Happy Birthday Lukas Ryan

Whenever you sing Happy Birthday to Luke he always blows out imaginary candles. He is so cute sometimes I can't even take it. I also love how he says 2. Got to love him!

Charlie's first day at his new PreSchool

Charlie was so excited for his first day of school, and it finally came. Lukas was excuted too, he wanted to put gel in his hair and put his new sneakers on just like Charlie. He is so handsome. Here he is waiting outside the door to his new class.
He quickly found his cubby.
Then he found his chair at circle time.
He waited patiently for all the other kids to arrive.
Then his friend Parker came and her seat was right next to him.
Luke thought he was going to school too, and when it was time to leave he lost his mind. He was so upset. I had to carry him out kicking and screaming "Cha, Cha." He wouldn't let me buckle him into his car seat and when we got home he wouldn't get out. He cried, and screamed, and cried, and screamed some more. I had to bribe him with a cookie at 9:30 in the morning. But it worked. He is doing much better at saying goodbye to Charlie. He gives him a kiss and a hug, and charges the door when it opens when we pick him up. Here is some video of Lukas on Charlie's first day. It is of him tryingto push me out the door to go get Charlie from school.

Smithtown Heritage Fair

Last Sunday we went to the Smithtown Heritage Fair. There was a car show, hay rides, and animals. We all had a great time and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day!

Ugh...Our first trip to the ER

Oh my little Lukas....He has to keep me on my toes. On Sunday morning Lukas took a tumble down the stairs. I was right there with him but he slipped and was a little too far out of reach to catch. Poor little guy tumbled from the top straight to the bottom. When I got to the bottom there was the biggest, ugliest, scariest bump I had ever seen on a child, right in the middle of the forehead. So, trying to fight back all the tears I had we rushed him to the hospital. Turns out Luke is some little toughie and its amazing he didn't break anything, especially his little noggin! They monitored him for a while and let us go home after about 3 hours in the ER. He is doing fine now, except that he is limping on his right side, but I took him to the Pediatrician and they said it is expected to be a little sore after a spill like that. So anyway, Mom you wanted pictures of his little peanut head, these are after some of the swelling went down. The funniest thing is if you ask Luke where his Boo-Boo is, he points to his thumb where he has a tiny scratch.
Please no more trips to the ER!!!
The weekend before last we had one of the most beautiful beach days of the summer. We went out to our normal spot in the Hampton's, Shinnecock East. The beach was a little eroded and we weren't allowed to drive our truck on, so we parked and walked. It was the most perfect set-up for us becasue there was a nice little tidepool for the kids to play in and they loved it. The boys also loved Grandma's cookies :) Sometimes Luke falls asleep on the couch very quickly, without warning...literally with a turn of the head. I had to take this picture because he looks so uncomfortable, but was completely out.
