Pitiful

Poor, poor Charlie has the sickness again, and this time it got him bad. We are into day 5 of what the doctor says is a virus....... Cough, runny nose, 102 fever for 2 days, up all night, attached to me 24-7, not eatting and he threw up last night for the icing on the cake. He didn't even touch a single toy all day on monday. He's feeling better now, still a little clingy, and not eatting yet, but is actually playing with toys. This is what he looked like on Sunday when we got home from the doctor......... So we're wishing you all a Happy New Year, sorry I haven't made my usual calls.........been busy with the little dude.

FYI

So the day after Christmas, Charlie woke up and his first word out of his mouth was "prize" as I changed his diaper he kept saying "prize , prize, prize." I told him santa came yesterday and won't be back till next year. Then he walked out to the living room, looked at the tree and said "Hey! Prize a go?" and he's been checking the tree ever since to see if prizes appear.
Note to self: Take down the tree ASAP!

Merry Christmas!

Holy Cow, the holidays have worn us out! We've been trying to re-cuperate over the past days, but it was all worth it to see Charlie's excitement for Christmas and all the "prizes."
On Christmas Eve we went to Grandpa's house, Charlie got a lot of great prizes, we didn't realize Santa made a special early delivery to their house for him. This Tractor Trailer loaded with cars almost made Charlie's eyes bug out of his head.
He opened all of his gifts and kept wanting to go back to that one. Uncle Jackson, trying out Charlie's new sled, let's hope we get a lot of snow this winter!

Christmas day is also Grandpa's birthday so we had some birthday cake too! After the excitement of the night, Charlie settled down with Uncle Justin and Uncle Bobby to watch some TV on the Big Screen.

Christmas Morning.......

He didn't hesitate to start ripping into the presents. The Cars tent was a hit And the Cars ramp was an even bigger hit in the Cars tent.......can you tell Charlie likes cars?
Later that day we went to Grandma's house, and would you believe that Santa went there too?! Auntie Kate got Charlie a great remote control car from the infamous movie.......Cars. Omma and Oppa got Charlie a really cool train set, but nobody let him near it, look at poor Charlie trying to squeeze in. He also got cool hand-made big rig truck with built in blocks, awesome! Finally the train set is put together, yey! Munching on grapes. Family portrait
take 8
(notice my new crochet uggs, keeping up with tradition, I've got a new pair every year for the past 4 years, because Uggs, althoughtrendy are my favorite things, so freakin' comfy and warm for NY winters, keep um' coming baby!!!)

Happy Holidays!

I'm done with school for now, so we figured there would be time for relaxing, but with the holidays creeping up on us and the birthday parties, there hasn't been a dull moment in the past few weeks.
First things first, we went to see Santa! Charlie seemed very excited while we waited to see the big fella. He loved all the decorations. Posing for a few photos. Everything was cool until...................... He actually met Santa :( Then Charlie got sick. The weather was snowy and rainy and cold, so we got serious cabin fever. Charlie wanted all the cushions off the couch so he could run back and forth saying "hoo ha ha hoo ha ha" Don't ask, I'm just glad it kept him from being attached to my hip for 30 mins. It's fun to slide down the couch too!
We also watched some TV in the mega block wagon. I guess that's a comfy spot.
We also got our tree, and somebody had to inspect everything. He also got a little bossy about where to put everything. Here is the finished product! We obviously don't believe that less is more. Next stop, Jack's 1st birthday party! There was a surprise in Grandpa's garage.....
Santa came to grandpa's house and set up is workshop in the garage!
He had a prize for Charlie since he was a good boy! Charlie was happy to take the present. Cool another dump truck, you know you can never have too many trucks!
The birthday boy, rockin out! Santa busted out his boom box and showed us some moves. The grandmas were having fun, rock on Gammie! Merry Chrismas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

We had our first snow of the winter, it was only a little over an inch but an inch is plenty to play in when you're a little guy! the snow totally got us in the Christmas spirit. I squeezed Charlie into his snow gear from last year, which was huge last year, and really snug this year (by the way I hate mittens, they fall off every 5 seconds). Charlie was like "what the heck is all this stuff on my playground?" "We'll just have to get it off...." " It's not coming off mom..." "and how do you suppose I drive my cars out here with this crap everywhere?" This is the part when Charlie realized snow is actually fun!! Yey! Ok now I have to go write a paper and study for finals ....aaaaah!
