Memorial Day Weekend!!

We had a very busy weekend. Daddy was able to have Memorial Day off so we got to spend 2 days with him this week instead of the normal 1. On Sunday we went to White Post Farms, we had so much fun! We met some goat friends

and some sheep friends

We aren't sure what happened to the Llama, hmmm...

and another sheep friend!

picture time with Dad

Dora the Explorer was there, so there was all sorts of cool bouncy tents there, we sampled the slide.

Then we went on our very first pony ride!!

So much fun!

Then we found some dump trucks at one of the playgrounds.

Going for the steal.....

got it!

There were also all sorts of cool wooden machines to play on.

The train was very popular,

and the truck,

and the tractor.

We ran into Spongebob and Patrick, I'm not sure who the other guy is though, oh wait thats Charlie!
And then we saw Buzz Lightyear, oh wait thats Charlie again!

Riding the train with Mommy.

Trying out Bob the builder's dump truck.

On Monday we took a walk to the park, we decided to show Daddy where we walk to during the week so he could see how much fun it is.

Hmm that's a funny kid on the tire swing.

Fun on Mr. Turtle

Fun for everyone on Mr. Turtle!

Old School slide

Mommy likes the see saw!

Where did he go?

Just being cute

Later that day we went to the parade which happens to go right down Main St., which we are just up the hill from so we took the wagon down to check it out.

Charlie was very respectful and clapped the whole time.

Fun in the yard!!

It was a nice warm day yesterday so we spent a lot of time outside. Charlie loves to be outside and will grunt and point at the door until we are out there. Every now and again I think I hear a little ow sound come out of him but I could be dreaming.....
So we broke down and got Crocs for Charlie the other day, I particularly am not a big fan of the looks of them especially on boys, but when you have a kid screaming at the door who doesn't want to wait to put socks and shoes on crocs are the best bet. He has slippers (flip flops as us mainlanders would call them) and they have a little strap around the back but they just are not great for exploring, so I broke down and got some army green crocs for the kid in the smallest size they had and now I think they are too freakin cute.
We had a rough day on thursday, lots of injuries, things that are expected with a toddler. Charlie fell and cracked his lip at the mall (Dad's first response was " hope he didn't lick the floor", those of you who know Will understand the germaphobe comment), later on he got pinched, and while exploring he bumped his head on the concrete, lots of blood, Mom was wigging out!! The next morning he fell into his toy pile and got another fat lip on the other side of his mouth, so Charlie is looking extra hot these days...... but it's all good, all part of growing, so they tell me!
Here are the pics.........
First we had to mowe the lawn

Then we had to check in with Mom, to make sure we did a good job!

Should I mowe the neighbors yard too, or do you think they'll do it?

After all the hard work, its time to play. First we load all of our sticks into the dump truck and then we dump them out........

Then we load them in again, and so forth and so forth.

BEWARE!!! This picture is not intended to be viewed by grandmas, if you experience shortness of breath, dizzy symptoms, or shooting pains up your arm look away. And yes, I know he should not be standing on the slide with a stick in his hand, geeesh!

Oh that's better and safer

Ha ha ha, we weren't sure what was so funny but we were laughing it up!

Notice how he walks with such grace in the crocs...very nice.

After all the playing, we had to go and relax on the couch, what a day!

A little Al Bundy/ Nose picking action...good times.

AAHHH! Not again! Don't look, he's very close to the edge of the couch, I think he has 3 sharpened pencils in his pocket too. Oh well.

Mommy's Day (a little late)

I know I'm late with this, but hey, I'm just geting started in the blog world. Because Will does not have the patience to take pictures this is the best shot I have of Charlie and I on Mother's day out of 5, I take what I can get, it's getting harder to take pictures with Charlie.

We went to Will's grandparent's house on Mother's Day. Will's grandfather is an engineer and very involved in trains, and part of a train club. So he built this train that goes aound his property many years ago. The funny thing is I've seen pictures of Will riding the same train when he was a little guy. Charlie had a blast!

Isn't it so cool!

Uncle Bob had to join in the fun.

Charlie thought something wasn't working correctly on the rails wo he got his wrench and tried to fix it.

But oh, something just as fun, Ripsticking (www.ripstickusa.com) with the boys! He thought is was hilarious when they fly by him
Checking out uncle Bob's car

and trying to rip the BMW emblem off, oh well!
