On Wednesday, Will and I went to school with Charlie to help celebrate his birthday. it was a lot of fun, and it was great that Dad got to see all the action at school.
Charlie and Dominick started the day off playing Mr. Potato head.
Then they had Music, Charlie is not a fan of Music.
Charlie and Dominick are inseparable.
Because it was Charlie's birthday he was the "leader" for the day, so he got to hold the stop sign for the safety song.
I made some brownies for the class, Charlie's favorite, and they all sang to Charlie.
After that they did a jelly bean tasting, it was really hard to keep the kids from eating, spilling, and shaking the jelly beans. They were instructed to wait to eat them and only eat one color at a time which Mrs. Santos called out. Will was very busy replenishing jelly beans that were spilled or eaten.
Charlie got to dress the Weather Bear.
He also got to lead circle time.
He was pretty proud. It was a great day, he kept saying all morning "today is a special day" and it was. Today will be even better! We will do more celebrating!
