Happy Holidays! I know its been a while since I've added pictures or given any updates. Well, I am happy to say, it has been 2 months since Luke's diabetes diagnosis and he is finally in range of where he should be with his blood glucose levels. It has been a crazy 2 months! I've been on the phone with his doctors and nurse educators about 2 to 3 times a week trying to get his numbers down. It has been a slow process because we don't want to give him too much insulin too fast, so we've been making slight adjustments daily. I am happy to say that I haven't spoken with a doctor or nurse educator in about 2 weeks, yey! He has been within his target range and I have seen quite a difference in his personality as well. When his numbers were high he was not the same kid, he was having terrible tantrums and unable to reason with. I am so happy to see him back to his old self and to see his husky body back too.
Aside from all of that, we have been very busy with the holidays. Below are some pictures of an outting we took with my friend Kristi and her 2 girls Parker and Quinn to the duck pond and nature walk back in November.
And I also had my sonogram where we found out we are having another boy in November. Yes, another boy! Just look at the picture, he totally looks like a boy.
Here are some pictures from the night we decorated the tree. The boys had such a great time.
Lukas ran out of ornaments and started putting their boxes in the tree, such a nut.
We also did our annual visit to see Santa Claus. This time Daddy came with us. The boys were very excited to show him their lists.
That brings us to Christmas Day!
Santa was very good to the boys this year, they got everything they wanted and then some.
Charlie got his skateboard, legos and nerf gun. Lukas got his Cars 2 toys, Toy Story playset, and his dinosaurs. They were very happy.
And last but not least, Charlie lost his first tooth yesterday! Coincidentally it was the first tooth he got as a baby.
We are all ready for a new year, a fresh start and forget about all the craziness that happened this year.
We are looking forward to the new baby this spring, another visit from Nana and Papa for Easter (hopefully Jimmy and Adam will come too), a trip to Cancun with Omma and Oppa and the rest of the family in July, a much needed trip to see family in Hawaii in August, and Bobby and Danielle's wedding in September. Its going to be a great year.
Happy New Year!
